no because you don’t understand how soft this is because he’s essentially saying do you respect each other’s personal space and do you understand that sometimes you and your partner both need solitude and the space and time to deal with things at your own pace and do you understand that it’s necessary to let yourself and your partner be individual people in the relationship and it’s reminding me so much of satellite and angels fly because they’re both songs about respecting and giving each other the time and space to deal with things and assuring them that no matter how they’re feeling, no matter what they’re going through, you’ll always still be there for them, by their side, or waiting with open arms, caring for and loving them wholeheartedly despite it all and this sort of understanding only comes from a place of maturity and it’s the dedication and adoration for someone despite, despite, despite.

What’s happening to AO3 right now?

As you may have noticed already, Archive of Our Own is currently down. This is temporary, but unfortunately.. we now know that this is much deeper than we thought.

AO3 is currently the victim of a DDOS attack orchestrated by “Anonymous Sudan”

Why? Because AO3 is home to thousands of LGBTQIA+ content and lots of NSFW content. They’re doing this as an Anti-LGBTQ+ attack. If they’re doing this for or from America specifically, we’re not sure. But this is what AO3 is facing at this time.

What can we do?

Spread the word. Spread the fucking word. I’ll be providing updates to my Tumblr page directly from the r/AO3 subreddit. I know that not everyone here is comfortable using Reddit, so I’m taking the blow for you. I cannot access Twitter though.

And please, whatever you do…

Stop using the Archive of Our Own website at this time.

The moderators, showrunners, and service providers all need to repair the damage done by this group. The amount of data flooding in from people trying to log in will cause more problems. Keep yourselves off of the website.

Yes, the site is accessible but please do not use the site until they give the all clear.

They’re still trying to fight off this DDoS attack. If you overwhelm the servers with your requests (next chapter, opening bookmarks, etc.), it will be harder for them to get it done.

The culprit (as with a few other DDOS attacks recently) is Anonymous Sudan, a group that is likely Russian, not Sudanese. The ‘reason’ they gave–that AO3 is “full of disgusting smuts and other LGBTQ+ and NSFW things,” is thin and probably not completely legit, though still legitimately concerning.

DDOS protection is expensive especially for a high traffic site like ao3. And it’s uniquely vulnerable as an independent site without ads or other corporate support. SPECIFICALLY targeted bc of its queer works and yet ppl will still complain every time they ask for donations lmao 

So, again, when AO3 comes back online, please don’t go hard with refreshing all your tabs. Please do remember to download fics you love early and often as  you continue in your whole ~reading journey~. And please do support AO3 through a dono or becoming a donating member, if it is possible for you to do so.

So last night was my 3rd of 4 shows on this tour and I just have some thoughts I want to get out of my brain:

His band is SO GOOD. I think they upped their harmonies and I particularly noticed it last night. Michael sounds so good and all of the boys sound great together. Steve did such an incredible job arranging all the non-Louis songs, or even the Louis ones the band absolutely thrives on them.

Louis’ confidence is through the roof and I really noticed it last night. He is so in the zone and absolutely just thriving. Last tour he was great, but this tour there is something else, some kind of swagger and confidence that is just an absolute honor to see it live.

Every fan is engaged the whole show. Even people who come with girlfriends are engaged and know the words.

The rainbows are so prominent and constant throughout the venue and even people selling them outside. The people who sell stuff outside aren’t getting hundreds of flags with Louis’ smiley if they don’t think they’ll sell.

I have been to many concerts and truly can’t recall joy or euphoria like I feel during “Where Do Broken Hearts Go”. It’s deafening during the 1D songs. Also, people go insane during 505 like I’ve never heard before.

His crew LOVES him. Watching the crew guys on the side stage and Josh bopping and singing along fills me with such joy. They all love him and his music so much.

I was also pleased to see that he actually is human and sweats the past two nights. It’s nice to be reminded he is a real person.

I just love him an insane amount and am so proud of him. 💙💙💙
